Terms of Service

These terms are between your church and SaltLight Solutions Inc. SaltLight is a follow-up assistant for churches. It works by text message. The service is in beta. How we handle information is in the privacy policy.
The service
Church leaders text SaltLight. They can send photos of paper connect cards, names and numbers, questions, and changes. Digital connect cards from Planning Center or Rock come in on their own, once your church has connected them.
SaltLight drafts a first text in the leader's voice. A leader approves it, writes their own (starting with @), or asks SaltLight to send it. SaltLight never texts a guest on its own.
SaltLight reminds leaders. If a new guest never gets a first text, SaltLight alerts the backup partner your church chose. When a leader asks, SaltLight can update Planning Center or Rock. That update is in beta.
Each guest conversation uses its own number. Guests never see a leader's personal number, or SaltLight's notes to the leader.
Accounts and leaders
Every plan includes unlimited leaders. A leader gives consent to receive texts from SaltLight at signup.
Any leader can change records. Keep leader access to people your church trusts.
The free month and billing
Plans are monthly, and priced by message volume. Every plan includes unlimited leaders.
- Plant: $29 for 150 messages a month
- Starter: $99 for 750 messages a month
- Growth: $179 for 1,500 messages a month
- Pro: $299 for 3,000 messages a month
- Scale: $499 for 6,000 messages a month
A message is every text SaltLight sends or receives for the church, to guests and to leaders.
The first month is free. A card is entered at signup, and nothing is charged for 30 days. Cancelling within those 30 days costs nothing.
Payments are processed by Stripe. SaltLight does not store card numbers.
Cancelling
Plans are month to month. There is no contract. Cancel anytime by emailing hello@saltlight.io.
Founder pricing
The first 50 churches get founder pricing: 25% off. That price stays locked while the church stays.
Message limits
Each plan includes the number of messages listed above. A church can move up a plan anytime.
What your church is responsible for
Your church is responsible for having permission to text the guests you add, as with any church texting.
Use SaltLight in a lawful way. Do not use it to send spam. Give accurate information.
Keep leader access to people you trust, because any leader can change records.
Beta
The service is in beta. Features labelled beta may change. Tell us how it goes at hello@saltlight.io.
Text messages
SaltLight's texts are registered with US carriers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop. Reply HELP for help.
Leaders give consent to receive texts from SaltLight at signup.
The service as it is
SaltLight is offered as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that every text will send, or that it will be free of mistakes.
If something goes wrong
If something goes wrong, SaltLight Solutions Inc. is not responsible for losses that come from using the service, or from not being able to use it, except where the law says we still are. These terms do not set a dollar limit.
Ending the service
You can end the service anytime by emailing hello@saltlight.io. There is no contract.
If a church leaves, the guests SaltLight added to the church's own database stay there. To delete a church's information from SaltLight, or one person's information, email hello@saltlight.io and ask. We keep information while the account is open.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top.
